NOW RECRUITING: UNITY/AR DEVELOPER (Freelance)

Playlines is currently looking for part-time freelance developers to help us create new groundbreaking AR experiences, with a particular focus on location-based mobile applications. Our team is led by award-winning, passionate innovators (via Sony Playstation, BBC, Red Bull, MTV), and over the years our work has been featured at Raindance, Digital Catapult, Abbey Road Studios, Future of Storytelling Festival, #FutureFest, Bose AR Showcase, Opera Beyond, and at festivals, conferences and academic halls around the world. 

We recently completed a residency at the National Gallery creating AR tools for curators in lockdown, and we’re about to launch a groundbreaking Augmented Gallery for Central London in partnership with some of the UK’s biggest art institutions.

MUST HAVE:

– Active interest in culture & arts, AR and location-based services 

– Unity skills especially for mobile development (iOS & Android)

– Experience with ARFoundation, ARKit & ARCore

– C# for Unity

– Javascript

– Experience launching and maintaining apps across AppStore & Play Store

 

NICE-TO-HAVES:

– PHP, JSON & mySQL

– Experience with map APIs & other location-based systems like GPS & iBeacons

– Experience with external QA and QC processes

– Game design experience

– Strong visual skills / UI/UX design experience

– Interest in cutting-edge emerging technologies (ie: spatial audio)

– London or Brighton-based a plus; all locations considered
